Shido glanced at Ban. “Ne, Ban.”

“Hm?”

“How do you think Ginji will deal with this?”

“What?”

“It’s always been just the two of you, right?”

“..Ginji will understand.”

“Really?”

“Because he always wanted you and I to get along, right? This will make him happy, so we can be together.”

“What if he isn’t happy about it though?”

“Don’t make me choose between you two, Shido.”

“I wasn’t going to. I would understand how he feels.” Shido stared out the window, away from Ban. “Do you know why I hated you at first?”

“Because I took your precious Thunder Emperor away.”

“More than that. I was in love with Ginji.”

Ban parked the car and tuned to glare at Shido. “If you’re sleeping with me because you can’t have him-”

“No. That’s not it.” Shido leaned forward and kissed Ban. “Can you honestly say that if Ginji asked you to sleep with him again, you’d say no?”

“Honestly? No. I could not promise you that I’d deny him that.”

“Which is why-”

“I just got an idea.”

Shido blinked. “Really?”

“I just got a brilliant idea. Come inside so I can show the both of you.”

Ban walked inside the Honky Tonk and was knocked into Shido by Ginji. “Ban-chan!!!!”

Ban wrapped his arms around Ginji as Shido wrapped his arms around the both of them. [This feels right. Strangly. I feel like this is where I belong. with them.]

“I was so worried about you!”

“We’re fine. I’m fine. Shido’s fine. We’re all fine and dandy and absolutely starving.”

Shido rolled his eyes and ordered breakfast for the three of them, which got him strange looks from Paul, Natsumi, and Ginji. Himiko just stared at Ban. “There’s something very off about you, Ban.”

“Oh?”

“You’re... in a good mood. I’d make a bit of a stretch and say you’re even cheerful. And you’re not ready to rip out Shido’s throat because he ordered breakfast for all three of you. Let’s not even get started on the fact that you haven’t insulted him yet.”

Ban blinked at her. “Really? Huh.”

Her face split into a grin. “You guys had sex, didn’t you?”

Ban choked on his coffee and Shido spun so fast he fell off the barstool as Himiko laughed.
