By the time Ban and Shido broke apart for air, Ban had Shido’s suit coat opened and his shirt half undone, and Shido had Ban’s vest hanging off of Ban’s arms and one hand cupping Ban’s ass while the other was buried in Ban’s hair.

Shido grinned at Ban. “My my, you are fast.”

“I’ve always been good with my hands.” Ban smirked.

“Mmm.” Shido began to lay Ban back on the couch.

“Umm... Master?”

“Mmmm?” Shido’s mouth descended to Ban’s neck, causing Ban to give a tiny shiver of pleasure.

“Can we not do that here?”

Shido lifted his head from Ban’s neck and looked Ban in the eyes. “Oh?”

“I may be an attention whore when it comes to finding jobs, but I am not an exhibitionist.”

Shido glanced at his watch. “Eh. We should start looking for that statue anyway.” He started re-buttoning his shirt and suit coat while Ban re-buttoned the lone button on his vest.

Ban grinned. “Yessss, the statue. Our meal ticket. We’re getting paid four million for this job.” Ban snuggled against Shido. “It brings me joy.”

Shido hefted Ban into his arms. “You know, for someone as strong as you are, you really don’t weigh much.”

“Fast metabolism and not enough food.” Ban wrapped his arms around Shido’s shoulders. “You know. I could get used to this.”

Shido walked up the stairs, still carrying Ban. “Get used to what?”

“Us not trying to kill each other.”

“But we’re just being nice because that’s our cover.”

“True. Plus, Ginji made me swear not to kill anyone.”

“Ahh. The truth comes out.” Once they were out of sight from the rest of the party, Shido let Ban down slowly. “Now, we search.”

Ban blinked. “There it is.”

“What?”

“Down the hall.”

Shido blinked and right there, down the hall, was the statue they were looking for. “That was surprisingly easy.”

“Somebody up there is liking us today.” Ban wandered over to the statue, bringing Shido with him. “Gimme the emitter.”

“It’s in my pocket.”

“And?”

“We might be being watched right now.”

Ban reached into Shido’s pocket, and blinked. “My my my.”

Shido nipped at Ban’s ear. “Hurry up. You can play with that later.”

“Purr.” Ban stroked Shido a bit more, then pulled the emitter out of his pocket. “Oh Master! Look! It’s pretty!” Ban made a show of gently rubbing his fingers against the statue, and placed the emitter in the back.

“If you want a statue so badly, we’ll get one later.”

“Really? You’re the best!” Ban glomped onto Shido, deliberately rubbing against him in ways that weren’t exactly meant to be done with clothing on, then Ban whispered into Shido’s collar, where the communicator was. “Ginji, do you hear me?”

“Loud and clear, Ban-chan.”

"You do know we can hear EVERYTHING you two say to each other, right?" Emishi said, the grin obvious in his voice.

"Repeat any of it and DIE, Miracle Whip." Ban hissed.

"Shido-han, I never knew you were such a romantic." Emishi was snickering now.

"Emishi...” Shido growled. “Just shut up and wait ten minutes to get the damn thing, okay?”

"I got it, I got it!"

“At least you two are getting along. Emishi and I will sever contact once we get the statue to the client.”

“Got it. We’ll see you guys later.” Ban scowled. “Oh. And Miracle Whip?”

“Hmmm?”

“Thanks.”

A pause, and then- “You’re welcome, Kitten.”

Ban smirked. “Be careful, you two.” Shido said, threading his fingers through Ban’s hair.

“We will, Shido-kun. Don’t worry. You and Ban-chan enjoy yourselves, okay?”

“Sure. Bye, you two.” The line went dead, and Shido and Ban walked away from the statue.
