Seeing the coast was clear, Mido Ban and Fuyuki Shido climbed out of the trashcans brushing bits of garbage off their clothing. "It's your fault you damn monkey tamer!"

"It was yours, you snake bastard!" Shido leaned in, invading Ban's personal space as he hissed through clenched teeth, "I would have had the keys if you hadn't thrown that pussy willow out the window, distracting me from my goal!"

Mido scowled at the slightly taller man as he leaned in removing all space between them as they breathed deeply in anger. "If you hadn't reflected my evil eye back at me, we wouldn't be getting chased now and that old hag of a nurse would have had a VERY pleasant dream!"

Shido took a step back in shock. "You wouldn't give her THAT kind of dream, would you?"

"If it accomplished my goal and made her nicer to the other nurses…" Ban idly pushed his purple sunglasses up his nose as he watched Amino Ginji's friend shudder in revulsion. "Please, a piece of tail is a piece of tail. All cats look gray in the dark."

"That one isn't a cat, that one is an ass." Shido retorted. He watched as Ban stepped forward eliminating the small bit of space between them. `Don't look him in the eye unless it's through the lenses.' Shido reminded himself as he refused to budge and give in to Ginji's friend by backing up.

Ban smirked as he watched Shido's eyes dart away for a second before returning to his as he refused to back up or give in. He now had another point to prove to Shido. This one would be fun if a bit embarrassing. Hearing footsteps approaching, Ban's smirk turned into a grin. Time to put his half-formed plan into action.

Quickly reaching up with both hands, Ban jumped and landed with his long legs wrapped around Shido's waist as he held his shoulders prisoner with his 200K grip. "The guards are coming back and I'm not climbing into that trash can again." Ban whispered into Shido's ear as he nuzzled down the side of the beast master's neck.

Ban grinned as Shido's stiff body relaxed suddenly and the other man pressed him into the wall of the hospital. "Don't get any ideas, snake bastard. I just don't want to go into the trash cans again either." Shido whispered as he trained his ears on the sound of the approaching footsteps. He quickly used his hundred-beast transformation and harnessed the keen hearing of the bat. As he concentrated on listening in on the approaching conversation, he didn't notice Ban's actions.

Ban smirked as he continued to nuzzle into Shido's neck as his fingers quickly unfastened the top button of both of their pants. Ban slid his hand under the fabric of Shido's black tee shirt.

He grinned as the beast master grabbed his wrist tightly, stopping his fingers upward travel. "I've got to make it look convincing since you aren't helping any." Ban whispered into Shido's ear earning a small shiver of reaction. Whether it was revulsion or something else was still unknown.

Shido frowned but nodded and released Ban's wrist as the two people came closer. One was a security guard so Shido continued to play along with Ban's idea. "Are you using your bat transformation now?" The beast master nodded absentmindedly to the question as he continued to eavesdrop.

"So when will you be off today?" Asked the guard.

The nurse giggled as she answered, "Around three." Shido grimaced as the footsteps stopped and he heard the feminine gasp. They'd been spotted. "Oh my! Are they doing what I think they are doing?"

Shido growled almost inaudibly as he was now forced to participate more in the charade. Burying his face in Ban's neck, he slowly ground his hips into the smaller man's. Shido felt the hand Ban had on his shoulder clench for a second before relaxing. Shido barely kept from flinching as he felt the warm slide of the retrieval specialist's tongue on the curve of his ear before lowering to lick the side of his neck.

Ban bit back another smirk as Shido slowly began to rock his hips rhythmically against his. He watched the security guard and nurse out of the corner of his eye as they peeked around the corner at them making it unwise to stop. Ban began to suck lightly on Shido's neck giving the two a show to remember. He felt the rhythm of the monkey tamer's hips falter as he sucked on the soft skin just behind the ear. Grinning to himself, Ban lowered both hands to the hem of Shido's shirt and slid the garment up, exposing the man's toned back to their audience.

Shido stilled all movement as Ban pulled his shirt up. "How long are they going to be there?" He whispered desperately in Ban's ear before returning his face to the dark cocoon of the retrieval specialist's shoulder and neck. The beast master could feel Ban's head change angles as he checked on the couple peripherally. Shido gasped and arched back pressing his hips harder against Ban's as the snake bastard's mouth hit another hotspot. Ban shifted in his grasp, moving to nibble on the other side of Shido's neck much to the beast master's relief.

Shido could feel a blush forming as Ban's warm mouth continued to gently suck and nip on his neck. He hid his face again as he fought to keep from reacting to the feel of Ban's warm tongue swirling over a pulse point. The retrieval specialist's teeth gently scraped over the tendons in Shido's neck as the beast master tilted his head away from the onslaught.

Shido frowned as a stray thought hit him. What if the snake bastard was trying to arouse him on purpose? He wouldn't put it past the cunning bastard. After all hadn't they just disagreed that sex was sex no matter whom it was with? It would be just like that cerulean-eyed man to try and pull a fast one like this. Besides, they could just pretend to make out then leave. No actual intimacies were really needed as long as they moved their heads and bodies just right. Two could play that game! Shido quickly re-evaluated their position and actions.

Shido smirked as he realized, Ban had put himself in the uke position. It was time for some payback. Shido slowly drug his hands down from Ban's shoulders to rest them on the other man's slim hips. "It looks like they were just starting, but judging by their slow pace, they are old lovers who are out for a thrill."

Shido mumbled in Ban's ear just before sealing his lips over the fleshy lobe. He heard the retrieval specialist gasp softly. Whether it was from the news or his actions he was unsure of.

"Shall we give them a real show then?" Ban asked quietly pulling back to meet Shido's gray eyes.

"What the fuck are you on?" Shido snarled in shock. He couldn't seriously be thinking that they would actually… Shido shook his head trying to clear the thought before it could fully form but the idea had taken root in his mind.

Ban grinned as he rested his hands on Shido's shoulders and his back against the wall of the building. "You are in the dominant position in case it escaped your notice. I'm here only because you are keeping me here." To prove his point, Ban unlocked his ankles letting his legs dangle as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Shido frowned. The only thing holding Ban up right now was the tight grip he had on the other man's ass and the weight of his body pressing their hips together against the wall. Shido's frown deepened as Ban's grin widened before he said, "It's all you, man." Shido was about to drop the snake bastard on his ass but the conversation behind him restarted making him hesitate.

Ban watched as Shido's eyes darted sideways. He glanced over and sure enough the couple was still watching them only now they were talking. Ban nudged his glasses up his nose as he met Shido's eyes looking for a hint of what the two were saying behind them.

"I think the bigger one did something the other one didn't like. Did you see how the one in white just totally backed away? If that's not rejection…" Shido's ego took a hit from the nurse's comment. No one had ever complained about his technique before.

"Maybe he was going too slow. That one in white looks like he lives life at a fast pace. If you are after speed, slow just won't do." Replied the guard.

"But slow is good." Countered the nurse.

"Not for guys. Besides they are in public. It's supposed to be fast and furious not like they are on their honeymoon."

"I still think the big one did something wrong." Said the nurse. Shido snarled. Why were they so eager to put the blame on him? His furious eyes met Ban's humor filled ones. This would not do. His technique was not lacking, damn it! The problem was he was not into guys. Anger reaching a maximum, Shido pushed Ban harder into the wall earning a small grunt just before he locked his lips over the snake bastard's in a furious kiss.

Ban couldn't keep the amusement off his face as he watched Shido get angrier at every comment the nurse and guard made. Since the monkey tamer wasn't speaking, they must be critiquing the performance thus far. Ban's good humor faltered as Shido's eyes met his one more time.

The beast master's eyes had gone hard, determined. Ban had one millisecond to panic before Shido's hips pushed hard against his forcing him harder against the wall making him grunt slightly. Shido's hands gripped each butt cheek harder just before his mouth slammed onto Ban's. Ban made no move to stop Shido or help as the monkey tamer's mouth moved harshly over his.

Shido growled low in his throat as the two continued to comment on his actions. "Oh my! He's so forceful. But the one in white still isn't reacting. Do you think he's too harsh?" Asked the nurse.

"My ex complained if I kissed her that hard." Said the guard in reply. Shido eased up on the pressure of the kiss and began to tease Bans' lips. If he focused on the feel of the man's mouth instead of who he was doing this with, it was actually kind of nice. Ban's lips were softer than they looked.

Ban held himself as still as he could as Shido went from a fierce bruising kiss, to a soft, teasing, exploring kiss. The monkey tamer was really pulling out all the stops on this kiss. Ban finally closed his stunned eyes and decided to enjoy the teasing caress. A wicked idea hit him and he acted on it. `Let's see how far Shido is willing to go to prove his point.' Shido sucked air in sharply through his nose as Ban's lips parted under his and began to move. Just what was the snake bastard trying now? Shido cracked open one eye to see if Ban was smirking at him only to see the retrieval specialist's eyes were completely closed and a small flush of arousal was spreading across the other man's cheeks.

A bit unsettled by the sight, Shido closed his eye and continued to use all his skill on Ban as the two behind them continued to dissect their every action. "Look, he's got him again!" Squealed the nurse happily.

"Shhhh! If they hear us they'll stop." Hissed the guard.

`What do they mean I've got him again?' Thought Shido as he slowly took stock of their position. Ban's arms were now wrapped around his shoulders instead of being crossed over his chest. One of the snake bastard's hands was sliding into the hair at the nape of his neck as Ban's ankles locked themselves back around his waist.

Shido was a bit startled as he felt Ban's tongue stroke over his parted lips since they hadn't been French kissing. `What the hell! In for a penny in for a pound.' Thought the beast master with a shrug as he opened his mouth wider allowing Ban access to his mouth. It was just a kiss.

Ban wasted no time slipping his tongue in Shido's mouth when he felt the monkey tamer's lips part even more for him. He quickly explored the warm cavern before stroking his tongue over Shido's. He felt the other man shiver slightly in reaction. Smiling mentally, Ban began to level the playing field again.

Ban pushed Shido back using the wall as leverage. As the other man stepped back, Ban stood on shaky legs. "You want to know why I'm stopping?" Ban asked loudly making sure his voice carried to the couple watching. Shido cringed as the sound of Ban's voice hurt his ears but nodded anyway. "I'm stopping because there is no way in hell that you are putting that in me without lube!" Ban said loudly again as he pointed to Shido's crotch.

Shido frowned as he looked down at his partial arousal. He looked back up to see Ban circle him. He turned to follow the movement not trusting Ban at his back in this situation or really any other. The snake bastard stopped when their positions had reversed. Now Shido was standing with his back to the wall and Ban was standing with his back to their audience.

"That is just too big to fit without a tube of lube and lots of preparation." Ban continued as he knelt before Shido.

After the `dream' his body was trying to react to Ban's being so close. Tamping down his surging hormones he tried to answer the nurse's questions. They had gotten no further explaining than the beginning of a sentence when the head nurse spoke up outside the door of the tiny room.

All the nurses ran screaming out of the small room leaving Ban and Shido standing there. Shido coughed and exited while he was still trying to decide if Ban had used his evil eye on him or not. He was too proud to ask.

Ban leaned against the wall beside the stairs going down and Shido leaned against the divider between the flights of stairs going up and down as the nurses continued to run screaming past while the head nurse chased them.

"What in the world…" Shido began.

"should we do?" Finished Ban as the nurses ran past them still screaming. The pack turned and ran down the stairs with the head nurse on their heels. She lost her balance at the top of the stairs. Shido grabbed her before she could fall.

"Are you all right?" He asked softly not wanting her to hit him for touching her even if it was to save her.

Shido was stunned as the head nurse began to rub on him as she raved about the warmth of his `man's chest'. Shouldn't she be disgusted by the slightly damp feel from his sweat or the musky aroma of sex that was hanging in the air around him? He watched as Ban approached. Would he help?

Ban quickly plucked the keys out of the nurse's pocket. "You go on dealing with her." The retrieval specialist said with a wink as he tossed the keys into the air and caught them with a wicked grin before taking off.

Shido finally pried her loose after he told her he had a boyfriend and that his boyfriend had just taken off. Smirking he sent his crows to get the bag of letters from Ban as he held them in triumph.

"The game isn't over yet!" Shido said smugly as two of his crows rested on his forearm after giving him the paper bag. He heard the head nurse screaming around the corner to wait just as Ban began to run at him. Turning, Shido raced up the stairs leading to the roof.

"You had to rely on the crows after all. Like I thought, you can't do anything on your own!" Ban yelled as they tugged on the bag, fighting to get it without ripping it and spilling the contents.

"Do whatever it takes to complete the job. Isn't that what it means to be a professional?" Shido yelled as they continued to struggle over the bag. "Let go, you snake bastard!"

Ban yelled at the same time "Let go, you monkey tamer!" Both shoved on the other losing their grip on the bag. It sailed into the air and over the railing. As one they turned and saw two guards glaring at them from the door on the roof.

After the guards dumped them off in Ginji's room they sat in sullen silence. `I made out with the snake bastard for nothing!' Thought Shido as he kept his back to the other man. He was still trying to decide if the blowjob had been a dream from Ban's evil eye.

His thoughts were interrupted as Emishi came in and told about the bag falling on him and the nurse's affectionate forms of thanks. Shido and Ban both stood, unable to keep their anger in check. After all they'd done today to get those letters, Emishi got the credit?!?!

Kazaki, in full female nurse's regalia, flung open the door to their room and yelled at them to be quiet only to freeze in horror as his friends stared back at him. At that time Jubei rolled by going to get a CT scan.

Unable to hold in his anger, Ban began to make snide comments about Emishi, Shido, and Kazaki. "To think the ex-Volts members came down to this, A third class amateur entertainer…" Ban turned from Emishi to Shido for his next comment. "Not able to make a living with his monkey acts, a monkey tamer who started a monkey's imitation of a retrieval specialist yet he still can't do anything by himself." Turning back to Kazaki, he added, "And finally a cosplay loving drag queen nurse. It's a classic!"

All three moved in to attack Ban. Jubei somehow had returned, still strapped to the gurney, to join in the fray, "There is no need to hold back against someone like him!" Said Jubei to Kazaki. "Don't ask any questions, just teach him a lesson!"

"How amusing! All of you, come at me at once!" Ban shouted as he prepared to fight all four ex-Volts members at the same time.

When Ginji yelled at everyone to stop, he was thrown from the window. Luckily he landed on a power line giving him a miraculous recovery. Everyone was prepared to leave the hospital just as Kurodo Akabane arrived. Ginji fainted and was rushed back into his room. Akabane followed to check on him.

Ban sighed and remained at the entrance to the hospital staring at the empty door. Shido remained beside him even though everyone else had gone home or about his or her business.

"What was your reasoning behind trying to take on four of the former top Volts?" Shido asked quietly not really expecting an answer. When Ban began to laugh humorlessly, Shido looked down at the slightly shorter man in question.

Ban nudged his glasses up as he met Shido's dark gray, almost black gaze. "Frustration." Ban turned and started to walk off but Shido stopped him with a hand on his shoulder.

"So all of that was because you didn't get any?" Shido asked in disbelief. He watched as Ban tilted his head sideways so he could meet his eyes without turning his head any more.

"You got off, but I didn't. Hell yeah, I'm frustrated!" Ban said as he tried to walk forward again. Shido snarled and grabbed Ban's wrist before yanking him into the building and up to the closet they'd spent so much time in today.

Once they were safely ensconced inside and Shido had braced a broom handle between the knob and the doorframe he turned back the snake bastard. "You mean that incident in the alley wasn't a dream you sent me to prove a point?" He watched as Ban looked away before answering.

"Even if it was, you still got off." Ban said as he tried to decide how to get out of the closet before Shido hurt him for his actions in the alley. The monkey tamer had made it clear on his complete heterosexual nature.

Shido patted his the front of his pants, but they were dry. He ran a finger around the inside of the waistband of his pants and the inside of his shirt. There was no dried residue on the inside of either. He raised stunned eyes to meet Ban's. The familiar gesture of pushing up glasses was what he saw. He watched Ban's eyes study him through the purple lenses, waiting for some unseen signal on what to do next.

"So it wasn't a dream." Shido finally said. His eyes dropped to Ban's mouth as a small surge of heat formed low in his stomach from the accompanying memory of what that mouth could do. Ban had waited until the watchers were gone and then he'd sucked him off.

"So, what of it. I already told you, all cats are…"

"Grey in the dark. I heard you." Shido said as he finished Ban's sentence. Shido took one step forward as he said softly, "Let's test that theory, ne?" Ban backed up and bumped into the one bare wall in the room.

"I already told you, man. Without a tube of lube there ain't nothing going in me." Ban thought he'd get out of it with that comment but he was wrong.

"I've got that covered." Shido said pulling down a box from one of the shelves. "I've got an entire box of lube here." He smirked as he watched Ban's shoulders slump in defeat.

Even though he didn't particularly like the snake bastard, the thought of what it would really be like to be with Ban had been nagging him ever since what he'd thought was a dream had occurred. He knew the retrieval specialist didn't like him either. However, Ban still had to prove his point about no gender preference so Shido figured he wouldn't back down.
